At Bright Care, we choose to be a regulated elderly in-home care provider, because we believe that with the right foundations and resources, every elderly person can live out their later years, with dignity, security, and purpose. For us, this can only be achieved if the home care service we provide meets the highest quality standards.Â
What are Care Regulators?
In the UK, each country has its own independent regulatory body who are responsible for ensuring all care services meet the right quality standards. As Bright Care offer in-home care services in Scotland and England, we are graded by the Care Inspectorate in Scotland and by the Care Quality Commission in England.
The primary function of these regulatory bodies is to serve and assist the care service providers and provide a key benchmark for families choosing care for their loved ones. Regulatory reports are a useful way to discover how a care service is run, as they contain insights into areas where service is strong, as well as any areas where improvements may be needed.Â
These reports look at how each person who is cared for is treated with respect and dignity, that they are in control of their own finances, able to eat food that is in line with their faith, worship if and where they want to and are able to complain if they are not happy with the care they receive.

As a regulated elderly care provider with excellent results, we offer our clients full peace of mind, knowing that our service is accountable to the national regulatory bodies for care.
Why choose Regulated Care
To ensure all the safety and quality of care requirements are in place, we would always recommend that you only use care services that are regulated by an independent body.
However, we would encourage you not to base your understanding of Bright Care solely on these reports, but to meet us in person. This will allow you to ask us any questions you may have about our in-home care services, before deciding to let us care for your loved one.
