We know getting home care services arranged for your loved one, and understanding your options can be overwhelming. Our teams based in branches throughout Scotland and the South East of England can give you the help and advice you need to make an informed decision. We offer free and impartial advice about the best home care service options, allowing you the peace of mind that your loved one is well supported in their later years.
What areas does the Horsham branch cover?
We cover the West Sussex area, including Horsham, Billingshurst, Haywards Heath, Rudgwick, Slinfold, Five Oaks, Southwater, Partridge Green, Crabtree, Staplefield, Faygate and Rusper.
Can you tell us a little bit about your background before you came to Bright Care?
Before joining Bright Care in September 2023, I worked in the home care service industry for around 15 years. I started as a Carer and worked my way up to Deputy Manager level.
I was looking to progress my career further, and Bright Care stood out to me because it has more of a homely feel. I love the challenge that running my own branch has given me and having the responsibility of managing client centric services.
What do you love most about your job?
I love having a good team of Carers who cover the Horsham area. I also love working with the wider Bright Care office teams across the UK. Everyone is really supportive, whether in Scotland or England and they offer help whenever you need it. I feel very connected with them.
How have you seen Bright Care make a difference to your clients’ lives?
Bright Care focuses on the companionship and relationship building side of care, and therefore offers a more holistic approach. This makes such a difference to our clients, because we have the time to support them in their later years in a more person-centred way. Whether that is encouraging the hobbies they like, visiting their friends or simply going for a walk. Because we focus on developing a deep understanding of the individual, we are then able to tailor the care for them.
What are your plans for the Horsham branch in 2024?
I want to introduce Bright Care to as many families around the West Sussex areas as possible, to continue building a strong team and to get out in the community more.
Are you looking to recruit any staff in your branch at the moment?
Yes, we are recruiting live-in and hourly Carers. You can apply for these roles here.
Can you share with us a time where Bright Care made a big difference, either in the community or to an individual?
Christmas 2023, the Horsham and Cranleigh branches joined forces for a get-together for our clients. It was a great success, some of the clients that don’t often get out joined us. It was really nice seeing them interacting with each other and joining in with the festive activities.
Have you got any advice to those considering a career change into the care industry?
It’s a really rewarding role, so if the care industry is something you’ve been thinking about, then just pick up the phone or pop into your local Bright Care office to find out a bit more about what we do and why we do it. Bright Care is different to other care providers, because we allow our Carers the time to develop the companionship side of care.
Why choose Bright Care?
By choosing Bright Care, you can be confident that you have made the right decision for your loved one. We provide fully-managed tailored home care services dedicated to supporting the needs of those you love and will adapt the care provided if their requirements change.
