Where is the Bright Care Training Academy?
The Bright Care Training Academy is a purpose built facility in Perth, Scotland. We have a designated space where the classroom based learning takes place and a separate room for practical learning.
What training facilities are there at the Bright Care Training Academy?
The Bright Care Training Academy is fully equipped with the aids and equipment Care Assistants may need when working with their elderly clients. These include medical beds, hoists, wheelchairs and walkers as well as medical devices. All Carers are shown how to use these devices safely to support their clients needs.
What training does Bright Care provide?
Our Care Assistants begin their career at Bright Care with a 4 day, in person onboarding programme. This is followed by shadowing an experienced Carer on their visits. After 6 months, there are another two in person training courses. Over the next 18 months, Care Assistants complete Hallmark of Excellence modules and ongoing refresher training.
How has the Care Assistant training programme been developed?
Our Staff Trainers are highly trained and experienced in elder care, working as Care Assistants at Bright Care before moving into the role. They understand the day-to-day tasks and the skills required to provide expert care and companionship. Working with the wider staff team and industry best practice, they have developed a comprehensive and bespoke training programme to support staff throughout their career in care.
How much does Bright Care training cost?
All training provided by the Bright Care Training Academy is free of charge. When completing onboarding training, staff are paid a professional development rate. We also cover the cost of travel to and from the Bright Care Training Academy as well as the hotel and meals.
