Last week we hosted our annual Bright Care Awards Ceremony at the stunning Sky Bar in Edinburgh. The team came from across Scotland and the South of England to celebrate another year of providing exceptional in-home care.
Recognising excellence in care
At Bright Care, recognising the dedication of our branch teams is central to who we are as a leading home care provider in Scotland and England. Tim Cocking, Founder and Managing Director said:
“It’s so important to celebrate people’s achievements in the business. Twice a year we bring our whole management team together from all our branches where we celebrate our top performing branches and highlight people in our business who we think have made an extra special contribution over the last year. We also want to create an opportunity where colleagues can come together and just have fun. This helps people to work together across the whole business as a united team. It’s important to me that people love what they do, love who they work with and believe in the company they work for.”
Company updates and inspiring stories
In the afternoon, the senior leadership team gave some important company updates; looking back across the year and communicated goals for the future. We also heard from some Care Managers. They shared some heart-warming success stories with clients, really helping reinforce our purpose – bringing joy to later life.
Bright Care awards
In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious three course dinner and then the award winners were announced. Staff worked towards these awards throughout 2025 and we believe it is incredibly important to recognise and reward effort and hard work and those living the Bright Care values. Our awards celebrate outstanding performance across key areas of the business:

Our managers want to know how they are performing compared to previous years but also against their colleagues in other branches. Ranking in our business is essential to motivating our teams which in turn ensures our customers are always getting first class service. Ranking helps people to see where they fit into the wider business in a spirit of healthy competition, but it also enables each manager to see what is possible.”
We finished off the event, dancing to a superb live band. Our Bright Care Awards Ceremony was an excellent reminder that although the team is spread across Scotland and England, events like these reinforce our commitment to ‘One Team’ where every employee plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care.
