Perth Office Italian Day (Festa della Repubblica), Canada’s 150th birthday and France’s Bastille Day

As we have Carer Companions from all over the world we have been celebrating this by holding country-themed Open Days in the Perth Office.
On 2 June we celebrated Italy’s National Day. Elisa Esposito, our Italian recruitment co-ordinator,  was on hand to add some authenticity to the day with her delicious homemade lasagna. We had an Italian themed quiz for clients and lots of pizza and tiramisu as well.  The city of Perth has strong links with Italy and The Perth Italian Club was established in 1972.

There was much fun to be had on the Open Day to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday and France’s National Day.  Our Companion Carer, Kim MacKinnon is Canadian and Veronique Bezy is French. We served up Pancakes with maple syrup as well as cheese, grapes and croissants.  Clients and staff attended and we had general knowledge quizzes on both countries  The lucky client winners won a bottle of bubbly and some lovely french coffee.

Our Care Supervisor, Tracey Comrie, did some cake decorating for the occasion and the cake was then donated to to the residents of Pitlair House in the Bow of Fife where we support one of our clients.
