Providing excellent companionship care

Perth branch in the snow, we offer companionship care

2022 highlights

It has been another exciting year at Bright Care with many  highlights, including  the opening of our new Horsham Branch. We have also enjoyed the return of social gatherings, hosting a wonderful tea party to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee for all our exceptional carers and their lovely clients. Throughout the year the branches have had other smaller events and all of the carers and office staff really enjoyed the long-awaited opportunity to gather for our summer get together. December has been a busy time with quizzes, pot luck dinners and competitions!

Merry Christmas to all our wonderful clients

There have been some really heart-warming stories and wonderful feedback from our families throughout 2022. Hearing how our outstanding companionship care continues to make a difference, motivates all of us at Bright Care. Here are a few recent examples of the wonderful experiences our Bright Carers have helped their clients enjoy.

Our live-in carer, Christine Peat sent us this picture of a Christmas wreath she made with her client using natural materials gathered from the client’s garden.

Our client John was matched perfectly with our carer Norleen, both of them are enthusiastic beekeepers. Noleen does an excellent job of supporting John to take care of his bees. They are pictured with John’s sons and grand daughter putting the bees to bed for the winter.

Our care enables clients to maintain independence and enjoy really meaningful activities with the peace of mind that we are always on hand. We love to receive client feedback. It is great to know the bespoke companionship care we provide is making a difference:

“I cannot thank you enough for all your personal support and kindness… you were so understanding and patient as we worked our way through some challenging dynamics within my family. The result was that my mum made a really successful transition from hospital to home. My mum was fiercely independent previously and this was quite a shift for her… Often when I was visiting, I would hear laughter and it was lovely to see my mum get the personal, attentive, one-to-one care she needed” Fiona, Oct 2022

Thank you to all our exceptional carers and staff

Our local branches have been busy with Christmas celebrations. Staff in the borders branch had a Christmas Bake off and our Perth Branch had a pot luck meal and Christmas decoration competition. They also hosted a combined Wellness and Elf Day for branch staff and carers. Our Glasgow Branch hosted a Christmas quiz night with lovely food and fabulous prizes.

“I’ve worked for Bright Care for over 6 years and I have loved every minute. Great company to work for.” Lynne, Nov 2022

Doddie WeirHeartfelt thanks from all of us at Bright care

We were deeply saddened by the loss of sporting legend, and client of Bright Care, Doddie Weir at 52. We want to honour his memory by supporting the foundation he set up to raise money for vital research into MND. If you would like to donate, we would be most grateful.

Continuing to care in 2023

We are looking forward to what 2023 brings. We will continue to recruit and train the highest calibre of Bright Carers so that we can deliver exceptional companionship care across the UK. We remain incredibly thankful for the hard work of our staff and for the joy and purpose they bring to the lives of our clients.
