โโโOur three days at Glen Dye were about stepping back from the daily routines of building the company to recognise what truly drives our success: our people, our disciplined focus and our clear strategy for steady growth and improvement.
Gathering in such an inspiring setting gave us the perfect backdrop to celebrate individual achievements, reflect on our collective milestones, and simply enjoy each other’s company. I couldn’t be prouder of this team’s hard work over the past year, and this retreat was a small way of saying thank you for the efforts and energy everyone brings to our business every single day.โ Tim Cocking, Founder and CEO
This September, our management team went to Glen Dye in the Scottish Highlands for our annual get away. Surrounded by woodlands, on the banks of the River Dye, it was an incredible location. This trip is always a great opportunity for the team to come together and connect and unwind. There is time to hear the latest company news, enjoy team building activities and celebrate accomplishments with an awards evening.
Company updates
We started the day with a delicious breakfast in our lodges and then came together to hear from the leadership team. It was inspiring to look back over the year at our successes and look ahead to the future of the business. Bright Care is a positive and energetic business, always looking to develop and grow and itโs exciting to be part of that journey.ย
Team building activities
After lunch, the team enjoyed some organised activities; bushcraft, axe throwing and a natural ink workshop. After the activities, there was a chance to explore the estate, enjoy the woodland sauna or take a plunge in the River Dye. It was a great opportunity to have fun and spend quality time with people we work closely with but donโt see day-to-day.ย
Awards ceremony
We enjoyed a delicious three course dinner and then it was time for our much anticipated awards ceremony. Staff have been working towards these awards all year and we believe it is incredibly important to recognise and reward effort and hard work and those living the Bright Care values.
This yearโs award winners were:
- Can Doย – Laura Bright and Cheryl Scott
- Own It – Rhiann Hamilton, Lucy Neve and Laura Sibbald
- Championing People – Lee Mill
- One Team – Scottish Borders
- Revenue Growth – Aberdeen
- Contribution Growth – Aberdeen
- Carer Growth – Cranleigh
- Client Growth – Glasgow
- Local Marketing Growth – Chichester
- Digital Marketing Growth – Scottish Borders
Branch Manager, Keira, who organised the trip said:
โThis year we took our annual getaway to a new location, the beautiful Glen Dye in Aberdeenshire. We were truly spoiled on site with everything we could have ever needed, along with lots of extra special touches on top. My highlight of this getaway was not only networking with my colleagues from up and down the UK, but also learning how to make an outdoor shelter and light a fire as part of the bushcraft session. The event was possibly our most successful yet, and Iโm looking forward to our next one already!โ
Our Bright Care team get away was an excellent reminder that although the team is spread across Scotland and England, we are all contributing to the shared goal of bringing joy to later years and are truly part of โone teamโ who value and support one another.
