Edinburgh Dementia-Friendly Map
Every summer, Scotland’s capital city plays host to the largest arts festival in the world. For many of us, Edinburgh’s month-long event is hugely enjoyable. However, for those with dementia, the noise, additional crowds, and overall compactness of the city can be hugely unsettling.
Fortunately, Edinburgh is full of places, venues and cafes that establish themselves for those with dementia, and our dementia-friendly map hopes to act as a guide for these locations. We’ve kept in mind the following:
- Accessibility to the centre of the city, with good public transport links
- We closely matched the location with the criteria as outlined in our Dementia Friendly Spaces guide
